Drumtown is about sharing the joy of music with students who want to learn but also want to have fun.
Parents invest hard earned money and time, for their kid’s music lessons. We’re about making the most of both, and keeping everyone engaged, progressing and happy.
We are constantly improving and expand our teaching ability with each student to ensure personalised tuition. There’s no cookie-cutter lessons here, even after 15,000+ lessons.
From age 5 to 105 we can get you drumming at your best.
There’s good teachers and bad teachers. We’ve all had them. But at Drumtown, we don’t keep the bad teachers. Teachers who get results and keep their students coming back year after year to progress to their dreams is what we specialise in.
There are some high profile teachers charging lots of money per lesson. Sadly often a great player does not a great teacher make. Drumtown staff are professionals in both areas, with immense experience in both teaching and playing in many musical styles, and our pricing reflects our quality, not our egos.
YouTube isn’t a Music Teacher. There we said it!
There’s no doubt some great music teaching on YouTube and the web these days. We use YouTube too. But a website can’t do things, that sitting in a room with an experienced teacher one-on-one can.
A website can’t track your progress. It can’t help your child through a passage they’re struggling with. Learning speed, coordination, listening ability, concentration and patience are just some of the areas taken into account when you study at Drumtown.
Come and see why we get the results we do.

Learn Other Instruments
Drumtown knows you can’t just play rhythms. You need melody and harmony for real music to take place.
So we have a network of teachers who have the same commitment to teaching their instrument and perfecting their craft as we do to our percussion students but across a very broad range of instruments.
Ask us who we’d send our kids to for Bass, or Trumpet or whatever, that’s as good a reference as you’d get.
Check out our sister site Trashdrums.com.au for group percussion for any ability.
A growing hit in schools and with students and parents.
Also great for corporate groups or any team building purpose or just to have some fun banging things.
